A Brief History of the CM400T
- The CM400 models were produced in the U.S. from 1979-1981.
- The T suffix is one of several (T,E,A,C) that signified small
differences from each other. Differences such as an automatic transmission
(the infamous "Hondamatic"), disc or drum brakes, and lean jetting for
better fuel economy.
- There were are CB400 models, the difference being the CM was the
"custom" style while the CB was the standard. I'm sure there was a price
tag difference.
- They were slowly replaced by larger 450cc models with the same
look and style.
